The club

Badminton and club life

Since 1977

We are a friendly club with a long tradition and an active club life. BC Reussbühl was founded in 1977, and today we have over 80 members.

Fun comes first for us. Whether you play with or without a licence, we meet outside the hall too: at the BCR barbecue, the BCR hiking day, the BCR Jass tournament (Jass is a Swiss card game) and a multi-sport training weekend at the Centro Sportivo in Tenero every season.

We currently have two league teams (Interclub) in the 1st and 2nd league, and every year we host our own tournament, the Reussbühlercup.

What to bring

  • Indoor shoes with light soles
Running shoes leave marks on the floor and give little grip indoors.

Questions

Questions and answers

I have never played badminton. Can I still come?

When you sign up, tell us briefly how much you have played. We will get back to you and tell you what suits you best.

Do I have to sign up beforehand?

Yes, please, through the form or by email. Then someone knows you are coming and will meet you at the entrance.

Do I have to play in a league?

No. From 8 pm there is free play, where everyone plays together, with and without a licence. The coached session from 7 to 8 pm is for licensed players from August to March. If it does not take place, free play starts at 7 pm.

Is there training during the school holidays?

For adults yes, except during the summer and Christmas holidays. Juniors have no training during school holidays and on public holidays.

I have played for a few years. Can I join a league team?

Every team needs women for women's singles, women's doubles and mixed. If you have played for a few years, in a club or at tournaments, tell us when you sign up. We will look together at which team suits you.

Juniors

Children and teenagers

Juniors aged 8 to 17 train on Mondays after school in the same hall. They learn the strokes and how to move on court, together with children their own age. They can borrow a racket from us.
